John Edward Riley, 82, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on February 27, 2024. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on March 11, 1941 to Gillian and Loretta Riley. John is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby Riley.
John is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Wetzel Riley; daughter, Kim (Mark) Anselman; grandson, Ryan Anselman; and Great grandchild, Lenox Anselman. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie Smith.
John was an avid movie lover with a particular passion for old westerns. From the fall until the spring, you could find John rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers and the remainder of the year, the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed going to church and reading his Bible. He belonged to Maples Branch Baptist Church.
John will be missed by many.
