Jennifer Lynn Thompson

Jennifer Lynn Thompson, age 44 passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Jennifer was born in Cartersville, Georgia. She was employed with EMS in their Cleaning department at Shaw Industries in Cartersville Plant 13. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. Jennifer was a graduated of Paulding High School. She was a social butterfly, if you invited her, she was coming. She enjoyed being around anyone who wanted to be around her. On nights when she would get off work and her mother was still up, she would enjoy putting on a movie and cuddling with her mama. Our beloved Jenny also loved to go thrifting and having yard sales. She would always bring her grandchildren the best thrifting gifts. Every year Jenny would always get so excited for her father’s garden to grow so they could pick vegetables together, she was always so proud to show how many she picked. She had a dog name Joker that she loved coming home to and he loved her coming home to him. Jenny would sit for many hours and draw and write, she was very good at both. Jenny loved music, blasting it until the speakers blew but she would sing her heart out in every car ride. She was someone who cared, loved and showed it with all she knew how to. She didn’t like for people to be upset so she always tried to bring out the best in every situation and put everyone else first. But if anyone knew Jenny, she would consider her biggest blessing was being able to spend time with her son, daughter in law, and her grandchildren, she was always so proud to be a mom and grandma. She loved to make bake goods and bring them to her grandchildren just to see their happy faces. Jenny wouldn’t want anyone to be sad today so let’s come together, be the family she always wanted us to be and celebrate the life she lived and remember her for the loving, caring women she was.

Jennifer is survived by her son Jeremy Lipham (Morgan); her parents David and Linda Thompson; her sister Samantha Thompson; her grandchildren Nathan and Easton. Her Aunts and Uncles, Mary Childers (Ralph); Tammy Hames (Glenn); April Townsend; Betty Mathison; Dorothy Thompson; Virginia Presnell. Jennifer was preceded in death by her sister Lea Thompson; both sets of grandparents Odell and Mary Thompson; Boone and Betty Jacobs

A visitation for Jennifer will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a chapel service at 3:00 pm with Rev. Al Cunningham presiding. Jennifer will be laid to rest in Pine Ridge Memorial Park, Kennesaw, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennifer's memory may be made to National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, ncadv.org; and Funeral Expenses. Or flowers can be sent directly to the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are: Jeremy Lipham, Anthony Harkins, Mikael Thompson, Corey Childers, Dylan Childers, Buck Buckner, and Matthew Buckner.
