James “Rex” Earwood, age 72 of Kennesaw passed on January 31, 2014 at home with family at his side. Funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Emerson. Burial will be at 1:00pm in The Georgia National Cemetery following the service. Rex was a member of The First Baptist Church of Emerson. He loved fishing especially deep sea and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Earwood was preceded in death by his father, James Robert "Boots" Earwood; mother, Evelyn M. Whitley; sister, Linda Cain. He is survived by his wife, Carole Earwood; son, Michael (Lynn) Youngblood; daughter, Sherry (Mark) Tuza; brother, Edwin (Mary) Earwood; sisters, Janice (Wayne) Wheeler, Robin Shortridge; grandchildren, Cale Youngblood, Griffin Youngblood, Peyton Youngblood, Connor Tuza, Makenzie Tuza, and one great grandchild, Lillian Youngblood.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 3, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
