He was a lover of the Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers, which he showcased in his position as a football and baseball coach for local high schools. Jack frequented the First Baptist Church of Canton where he served as a Greeter for 10 years.
Jack is preceded by his wife, Wanda Crumley Hutchings; mother and father, Wayman and Bertha Hutchings; sisters, Faye McMahan and Betty Noe; as well as his grandson, Andrew Hutchings.
Surviving Jack are his two sons, Jeff Hutchings (Joanne) and Doug Hutchings (Terry); grandchildren Cody Hutchings, Hannah Hutchings, Buck Saye, Tayler Cahill (Ken), Michael Hutchings (Ashley), and Megan Hutchings; great grandchildren, Avery Eubanks, Brody Cahill, Branson Cahill, Kenzley Hutchings, Michael Hutchings Jr., and Brinley Saye; “Brother” Steve McMahan, and several nieces and nephews. Jack also leaves behind a special companion and her family, Vickie Gross, granddaughter Lyndy Gravley (Jon Milan), and great granddaughter Shelby Gravley. As well as Randy Gravley, Blake Gravley, and Mike Collins.
A visitation will held at Winkenhofer Funeral Home and Pine Ridge Memorial Park Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Following visitation, a service for Jack will be held in the Winkenhofer Chapel at 1 p.m.
