Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Henrietta “Dee” Louise Crawford, aged 75, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2024, in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Henrietta, affectionately known as Dee, was born on May 14, 1948, in Greenville, Tennessee, to the late Henry and Florence Dean. Her early years were spent in Muncie, Indiana, where she would eventually meet the love of her life, Elbert Crawford Sr. Their union was blessed with four children, Elbert Jr, Michael, Angelina, and Katina. Together, Elbert and Dee shared 58 loving years, filled with precious moments and adventures that will be treasured forever.
Dee leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her presence brought joy to all who knew her, as she exuded kindness, compassion, strength, and unwavering faith in the Lord.
Throughout her life, Dee touched the hearts of many with her generous spirit and selfless nature. She was a pillar of support for her family and friends, always offering a listening ear and a comforting embrace. Dee's unwavering faith was evident in everything she did, serving as a source of inspiration to those around her.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Dee found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and crafting, or sharing stories over a cup of coffee. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Along with her parents, Dee is preceded in death by her brother Bill Dean, grandson James Michael Crawford and son-in-law Darren Zubas. She is survived by her husband, Elbert Crawford Sr, her loving children: Elbert Crawford Jr (Tamara) of East Tawas, Michigan, Michael Crawford of Kennesaw, Georgia, Angelina Zubas of Kennesaw, Georgia and Katina Crawford of Kennesaw, Georgia; 5 grandchildren Sara, Tara, Cheyanna, Seth and Bobby: 2 great-grandchildren Liam and Elspeth.
A graveside funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Henrietta “Dee” Louise Crawford will be held on April 29th at 1:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia, where family and friends will come together to pay their respects and share fond memories of a remarkable woman.
