Harold E. Wade, Jr. of Lithia Springs, Ga, passed away Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. He was known to family and friends as Gene. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold E. Wade, Sr. and Edith J. Wade; sister Julia Wade; his wife Pamela Wade. He is survived by son Harold E. Wade, III and wife Michele Wade; daughters Frances and Virginia; brother Karl L. Wade; sisters Mary W. Decker and Mona W. Thompson. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive. Gene will be missed by his family and friends.
Gene worked for The Colonial Baking Co for many years as a routeman and supervisor. After leaving Colonial Baking, he and Pam owned and operated Wade Trucking Co from 2005 to 2008. He retired from the State of Georgia where he worked as a driver.
Services will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, The family will receive friends beginning at 11am with a Chapel service beginning at noon with Pastor Larry Baker officiating. Gene will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
