Hannah Dorothy Wanco, 85, of Cartersville, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012, beginning at 4pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 3pm until service time.
Born in Yonkers, NY Mrs. Wanco was a long time Operator for the New York Telephone Company. She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend, by all who knew her. Mrs. Wanco was preceded in death by her Husband – Peter Joseph Wanco, Sr. and her Daughter - Donna Wanco.
Those who survive are Sons – Peter Wanco of New York, NY, Richard (Doreen) Wanco of Cartersville, GA, and Denis (Arlene) Wanco of Cartersville, GA; Daughter – Debra D'Amato of Kennesaw, GA; Sister – Flo Lues of Mt. Vernon, NY; Brother – David Kenney of Yonkers, NY. Three Grandchildren also survive – Nicole Wanco, Shannon Wanco, and Laura Wanco.
Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
