Gerre was multifaceted. She was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. Gerre was an excellent cook, painter and gardener. In addition to her artistic talents, she was also an athletic swimmer and enjoyed fitness in general. She did a lot of community work in addition to working for the Georgia Cancer Specialists Treatment Center. Gerre was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She was a great host and planner and made many friends with her kind and outgoing personality. She was supportive and helpful to everyone she knew. Mrs. Koger often went to Southern Polytech University to attend as many student events as she could. Mrs. Koger was very family-oriented. She loved spending time with her family, and took great care of her grandchildren when they visited, always making sure that they went home with full bellies and clean laundry. Gerre will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and loving grandmother.
Gerre Koger is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Thiebaud; and sister, Mary Stinson. She is survived by her husband, Ron Koger; son, Aaron (Dorothy) Koger; brother, Alan (Marianna) Thiebaud; grandsons, Jackson, Joaquin, Wilson; granddaughters, Madison, Alicia; nephew, Craig; nieces, Kristin, Jill; and furry friend, Rosie,
The family of Gerre Koger will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, December 21st, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Ron and Gerre Koger endowed scholarship fund though Kennesaw State University.
