Mr. Douglas Eugene Strickland, age 49, of Dallas, GA, passed away May 12, 2013. He was an aircraft painter for Lockheed for 28 years. Mr. Strickland loved his family, but he also loved old cars and Harley’s.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Beatrice Strickland; a sister, Janice Evans. He is survived by his children, Joshua Strickland, Alicia Sawyer; brother, Jimmy Strickland; sister, Sandra Fowler; grandsons, Michael and Garrett.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 17 at 1 PM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth. The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
