David Archie Baird, Sr., 83, of Kennesaw, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Pastor Terry Cantrell officiating. Military honors are going to be rendered for Mr. Baird who was retired from the US Air Force.
Mr. Baird demonstrated his love of country by serving honorably in the Air Force and obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. A resident of Kennesaw since 1998, Mr. Baird was a member of Riverstone Church in Kennesaw.
Those whom survive are his wife of 30 years Pamela Baird; son – David A. Baird, Jr.; daughters – Melissa Kenyon, Deborah Kerwin, Meghan Sinn, Kate Baird, and Judy Bloom; brother – John Baird. There are also 11 grandchildren that survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12pm until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in memory to David A. Baird, Sr. to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 or woundedwarriorproject.org.
