Bobbie Lee Hippensteel

Mrs. Bobbie Lee Drummond “Snookie” Hippensteel, age 83, of Acworth, GA., passed away Thursday August 18, 2011. She was born June 5, 1928 in Rome Georgia. Bobbie was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church , loved her 16 years as a dancer and costume designer with the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA Kickers, relished playing bridge with her friends, and enjoyed antiquing with anyone she could talk into going with her. She never met a stranger and never minded lending a helping hand to someone in need. She was most happy when she was spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Hippensteel, Sr. and her granddaughter, Kelsey Hippensteel. She is survived by her sons Kenneth J. Hippensteel, Jr. and wife Becky (Acworth, GA), Dan Everett Hippensteel and wife Nancy (Franklin, TN), Charles L. Hippensteel (Smyrna, GA); her brothers Brady E. Drummond and Danny H. Drummond (both of Rome, GA); and her grandchildren K.J. Hippensteel (New York, NY), Joseph C. Hippensteel, (Acworth, GA), Kyle J. Hippensteel (Acworth, GA), Laura F. Hippensteel (Moshi, Tanzania, Africa), and Jenna M. Hippensteel (Franklin, TN) .

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA. (770) 422-7299, as well as from 11:00 am to 11:45 am on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Marietta, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marietta, GA., with Pastor Ronald Grunke officiating. Additionally, there will be a family service at 11:00 am at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg, PA on September 3, 2011 with burial immediately following at Crevling Cemetery in Almedia, PA.
