Alex L. Cain, age 87 of Acworth passed on June 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, June 27,2013 from the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Alex was a WWII US Army Veteran earning two Bronze Stars. He will be laid to rest at 3:30pm Thursday, June 27, 2013 in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Talking Rock, Georgia. Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Cain; and is survived by his daughters, Sue Connolly, Lynda and husband Terry Everett; sister, Dorothy Green; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
