Kenneth Lee Padgett

Kenneth Lee Padgett was born 8 Aug. 1938 in Corbin, Kentucky to parents John F. and Flora (Wood) Padgett and entered eternal rest on 7 May 2018 at the age of 79. Lee grew up in a small mining community. He joined the Air Force in 1955 and served honorably until his retirement in 1975. Lee was married 25 Oct 1962 to Nelda until her death in 2005. They were blessed with two children. They lived in Gun Barrel City where he served as Deacon at Legendary Baptist Church. Lee loved to fish whenever he could get a spare moment. After Nelda's passing in 2005 Lee went to live with his son & daughter in law in Anna, Texas and became a member of Calvary Baptist Church and served as Deacon there until the time of his death. Lee was a loving, caring man and he and his wife spent a majority of their lives as caregivers to those in need as well as their community. Lee was a great inspiration to those around him and he will be missed tremendously by all that knew and loved him.

& Floy (Wood) Padgett Deceased: 1 March 1999, wife Nelda, & oldest son Terry.

He is survived by: his son, Gerry and wife Tammy Padgett, grand children: Terry Padgett, Patricia Stever, Misty Sportsman, Christopher Padgett, Matthew Padgett, Luke Padgett, great grandchildren: Ksenia Alfaro, Margaret Padgett, Jacob Stever, Elizabeth Padgett, Aubrey Padgett, Owen Stever

great–great grandchild: Emilio Alfaro, Jr, other loving family members and many more friends.
