Santo Scarpino

Santo was predeceased a year ago by his wife of 58 years, Dora. He is survived by his sons Carmelo (Veronica), John (Suzanne), Lawrence (Lisa) and grandchildren; Eric, Talia, Aaron (Desiree), Samantha and Callista (Joey); as well as his brothers Armando (Fernanda), Ugo (Teresa) and his sister Nella plus many nieces and nephews.

Born in Scigliano, Cosenza, Italy on December 7th, 1937, Santo immigrated to Canada in 1962 settling in Shelley, BC where he found work in the local sawmill. Santo and Dora started their family while living in Shelley and eventually moved to Prince George where Santo worked for Lakeland Mills as a heavy-duty mechanic until his retirement in 1998. Santo and Dora moved to Kelowna in 1999 to be closer to their family. Santo took great pride in his home and in his garden. He was a jack of all trades and could build or fix anything and loved to spend time helping his friends and family with their various projects.

Funeral Service to be held at 1:00pm on Saturday October 30th, 2021 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna. Proof of Vaccination required and COVID protocols in effect.

Interment to follow at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
