FOURNIER: Joseph Eli (Ronald). February 21st, 1936 – May 11th, 2017. In loving memory of Ronald who passed away peacefully in his home after a three year struggle with Bulbar Palsy (ALS). Survived by his best friend and loving wife Iris and only son Stephen. Born in Cornwall, Ontario. Survived by siblings Doreen, Desneige, Veronica, Marguerite, Robert all in Eastern Canada and Doris McAdie in Surrey. After finalizing his apprenticeship in Cornwall, Ontario he was transferred to Kelowna Daily Courier by the Thompson Newspaper chain , where he remained for the next 33 years and then on the Kelowna Capital News for another 5 years. Spent the last 20 winters in Yuma AZ, where he joined the Knights of Columbus becoming a very active member. Volunteered with the Boy Scout Movement for over 35 years in several capacities earning the Silver Acorn. Volunteered at every Canadian Jamboree plus World Jamboree in Australia. Prior to spending 20 years in Yuma he travelled the world. Funeral Service will be celebrated from St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church , 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna.
