I met Philip through work, we spoke on the phone daily.  I finally had the pleasure of meeting him in person at a company party.  What a character!  We hit it off and remained friends over the years.  Philip was so deep, always analyzing things and pondering life's mysteries.  He was always so kind to everyone he met and nobody was a stranger.  His sensitive and caring nature.  I am still in shock....  He will be missed, I am so happy to have known him.  My Prayers go out to his family, whom he loved dearly.   Rest In Peace friend. 

My fondest memories with Phil were the many summer days spent at his family's home where we swam 12 hours a day and took lunch breaks to walk to Wendy's to over order from the $1 menu.  It truly felt like a second home that we were all welcome and shared many laughs and great memories together.  

In the memory of Phil who touched so many lives and brought such happiness. May he rest in peace.

Phillip and Allen were our neighbors across the street on Mountainview.  There were a lot of good boys that got together nearly every day to fix bikes or do something to break them.  I told them they were named good  (Phillip screwdriver and Allen wrench).  They were good friends to Josh and the rest of the bunch.  I am very sad to hear of his passing.   Paul and Judy Wartchow

Philip and I knew each other through work.  He was always passionate about his work and always put his all into it. I had the privilege of getting to know Philip and see his love for all things including his son Ethan. He will be missed.

Breakfast at Denny's every Sunday with the boys, dad, Matt and Philip would bring Ethan. Philip was so kind and patient all the time. I lost my son when he was 17 from muscular dystrophy, he died on mother's day. I am so sorry for your loss Charlie...love you, mean it, let God hold him now , rest in peace Philip.

I worked with Philip for a short time. He was kind and funny - supportive and helpful when I needed it. I wasn’t able to keep up with him after he switched jobs but I checked in on him from time to time with the people who were able to do so. Stories of him were always sources of laughter and uplifting of spirits when it was needed in the office. I know he loved his son whom was a subject brought up frequently. My heart goes out to the family for a life taken too soon. I know he will be missed. 

I had the privilege of working with Philip for many years, and although it has been a while since we last saw each other I can still see him with a big smile on his face.  The last text he sent me ended with the words “I’m a friend for life” and that is exactly who he was.  Philip cared so much for his family and loved being a Dad more than anything.  I am going to miss him but will cherish the memories forever.  

Philip and I knew each other for only a short time through shuffleboard.  He always looked for the positive, he always strived for fairness.  He will be missed.  My prayers are lifted for his sweet son, the rest of his family, his co-workers, and other friends.  Rest in Peace, Philip!

My heart goes out to all Phil left behind during such a difficult time. May you be reminded of his laughter, his deep questions, and his sincere interest in every single person.

Phil, you never thought you were better than anyone -- everyone was a future friend -- and, because of that, you kind of were.

Our family was introduced to Philip when he was 8 and in Mrs. Harvey's 3rd grade class with our Joshua.  They became friends quickly and maintained that friendship for the rest of Philip's life.  Philip was always fun-loving, energetic, polite, caring and a delight to have in our home.  We are thrilled we maintained a friendship with him as an adult.  Although Steve and I didn't see each other often in the last several years, Facebook was a great place to stay connected and share our admiration.  One of Philip's and Joshua's catch phrases continues to have a place in our family:  "Great minds think alike, great minds think alike, great minds think alike!" ...finished with 2 fingersnaps!  

Philip is gone too, too soon but he was not be forgotten.  He will be remembered with love in our hearts!

Charles,  wish we could have met your son,  he sounded like a real neat person, like you.  We all Love you and you know where we stay, we are  here for you.

Rest In Peace, Phil.. I’ll always remember pool parties during the summer at the house on Mountainview, camping trips to Oklahoma with the guys and your Dad, and how you always genuinely cared about others. My condolences to the entire family during this unbearable time. You will be in my prayers. 

There are so many childhood memories we shared together. Picnics in Nan and Pap’s backyard. Totino’s  pizza and all of us picking off the little pepperoni pieces.  Water gun fights at the pool in Lake Whitney. Countless weekend and summers together as kids. Sleepovers, Christmas, Easter egg hunts, red ant bites and stickers stuck in our feet. We weren’t as close as adults because we all went out and lived  our lives.  But it was always nice to see Philip when I did and catch up on life. Prayers for all of you and his son Ethan. May all the memories you shared together bring you comfort at this time. Love to you all. ~ Gina
