As I prepare for the celebration of Dan's life this weekend , I'm full of fond memories and saddened at the same time.
I've  known Dan since third grade as we lived within a few blocks of each other . Having two sisters, Dan soon became the brother , I didn't  have . Dan and his brother Steve spent a lot of time at my house as i did theirs .There was not a week  or sometimes days that we didn't spend some great time together during our child hood days . A few things I recall :
> The weekly neighborhood  football games and Dan was always the QB 
> The hours spent at his home with Steve and his Dad racing electric cars 
> Dan taught me how to ride a horse ,that lead into weekly rides in the hills of WBAP along Hwy 30 
> The days and nights we spent at the Meadow brook riding club. Dan was the master of the rings 
> Dan inviting me to join his family (my 1st) at Joe T Garcia's 
> Dan inviting me to join his dad and Steve (my 1st ) to the gun club to shoot skeet.
> Dan sharing with me the new Earl Scheib paint job on his El Camino before the paint was even dry
> The hours and nights  we spent driving the local circle.
> and so much more I cannot share ,but  it was all great and we lived through it
Dan ,was just a great guy who cared about all . We stayed it touch as we went our separate ways  but we would speak from time to time and he loved talking about his family ,so proud of his daughter ,and the love and happiness with Cindy.

God took a special one .
My deepest condolences to his entire family and friends .
I will miss him .

Whenever Dan would call me about some real estate, I would always ask him if this was Dan Real or Dan Boggus, he would tell me this is Dan Real and how I need to look at this real estate, I can’t believe this is real and wish it was boggus. Dan was a good guy to do business with, a fun guy to be around, he will be greatly missed. Bill Adams 

I was so saddened and shocked to learn of Dan’s passing. His father and mine, P.L. McClary,  were good friends and business partners, and their family lived in the court just around the corner from my house on Green River Trail in White Lake Hills. Dan and his little brother, who were a few years younger than I,  used to climb in the tree in my backyard and spy on me when my dates came to pick me up and make smooching noises and cat calls. 
That was a long time ago but I remember him and his family fondly. 
I’m so very sorry for your loss. He is gone from us much too soon. 

I will always remember Danny as a childhood pal. He, Jim and I spent many days together and feel like Jim is glad to have his old buddy to talk with about the good times they had and how much they both love their families. You’re in my thoughts Cindi and Dee and Kris. 

Without a doubt, one of the sweetest guys. I am so sad to hear of this loss, and will be sending prayers for comfort for Cindi and his entire family.

Danny and I were in grade school together and in 6th grade he used to torment me.  I still laugh about it. You will be missed greatly. My prayers go out to Cindi, Kris and all your family. God received his child back.

Dan was one of the more affable people I ever knew. I could never have a conversation where he didn't have a big smile and a hearty laugh. I always felt happier after a visit with Dan. Just a great guy and a huge loss to a lot of people.  Our deepest condolences to his family.
