Charles Wesley Williams, Jr. was born in Claremore, Oklahoma. He spent his formative years there with his brother and sister. After high school he joined the Air Force to help pay for college. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force and attended Langston University. His excellent academic record allowed for early admittance into Meharry Dental School. He then went on to graduate from dental school with honors in 1972. He was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial residency program at Tufts University. He spent several years in private practice before eventually returning to Meharry Dental School as a professor. Later he became the chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. He worked there until his retirement in 2018. He is survived by his older brother (Billy), ex-wife (Ethel-Loniell),three children (Charles, Daniel, and Fontana), and three grandchildren (Matthew, Zanna, and Sebastian).
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248 with Burial to follow at 12:30pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
