She was born November 29, 1934 in Nashua, New Hampshire the daughter of Howard and Marion (Marshall) Slayton. She attended Keene High School and was a graduate of High Mowing School and went on to attend Lasell Junior College and Keene State College. On August 24, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard H. Page, Jr.
For more than twenty years she worked with Monadnock Developmental Services and also Residential Resources, where she was able to help people who had developmental challenges and those who suffered with addiction, to maintain their own independence.
Sandy loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed meeting up with her friends and sharing a cup of coffee. She enjoyed her time spent with the folks who lived in her community at Page Homestead. She loved to participate in various activities there including Bingo and spending time with her very good friends, the “Rainbow Girls”. Above all, she loved to be at the beach, enjoying the sun and the water.
She is survived by three daughters: Deborah P. Morrie of Claremont, NH, Lesley K. O’Brien and her husband Nathan of West Chesterfield, NH and Michelle “Shelly” Page and her wife Pam Marvin of Charlestown, NH., two sons: John M. Page and his wife Barbara of San Marcos, CA and Richard H. Page, III of West Chesterfield, NH., five grandchildren: Michael Morrie, Matthew Morrie, Paige Morrie, Trevor O’Brien and his wife Brittany and Cameron O’Brien, six great-grandchildren: Geoffrey, Lance, Braden, Calan, Arianna and Beckett, her brother: Marshall T. Slayton and his wife Lucy of Portsmouth, RI, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is also survived by her dearest friend, whom she had known since elementary school: Peggy Kerbaugh. She is predeceased by her husband: Richard H. Page, Jr. who passed away in 2006
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH at 10:30am. The Rev. Susan Langle, Pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Claremont will officiate. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Beaver Street, Keene, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on the family from 9 to 10:30am at the Funeral Home.
