He was born in Lynn, MA on June 5, 1944, the son of Therrin and Doris (Hebert) Mullett. He grew up in Keene, NH, attending local schools.
He was a member of the 2nd Battalion 68th Armored Brigade 8th Infantry Division serving from 1967 until 1969, and was stationed in Baumholder, Germany.
He later resided in Nashua, NH for several years, returning to the area where he lived in Stoddard, NH, and then for the past nine years, in Winchester.
Mr. Mullett worked as a machine operator with Whitney Brothers in Keene for ten years. He later worked for three years at the Stoddard Transfer Station.
He was a member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Post #4 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #799, both of Keene. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to country music.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Colleen M. (Theriault) Mullett of Winchester; three children, Candace M. Wilder and her husband, John L., of Lenoir City, TN, Shane A. Mullett of Lenoir City, Lance E. Mullett of Winchester; four grandchildren, Scott A. Mullett, Samantha M. Methe, Shane A. Methe, Tayissa Mullett; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson, Dennis Watson, Haven Methe, Bentley Xander; a sister, Michele Forbes of Palmetto, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Mr. Mullett’s memory to the American Cancer Society, New Hampshire Division, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
