He was born on December 4, 1959, in Peterborough, NH, son of the late Norman and Mary Letourneau. He grew up in Jaffrey and attended local schools. At the age of 9, his family relocated to Keene where he attended Keene High School and went on to earn an associate of arts degree at Franklin Pierce College.
Together he and Kelley Lefebre, the love of Brian’s life, celebrated over 39 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2021.
Brian had a strong work ethic. He was employed by Markem Image for over 43 years where he served in many capacities, including as a buyer-planner, the position from which he retired.
There were three things in life that Brian truly enjoyed to the fullest: good food, music, and being with family. Brian treasured trips to the Maine seacoast to savor all the fresh seafood he could handle. Even in his final months, his son Dan ensured that Brian was able to experience the small things that he loved greatly – trips to the ocean filled with full-belly clams and haddock.
Brian loved classic rock and played the drums, which his son also followed in his footsteps with. Brian was also a classic car enthusiast; over the years he continued to earnestly restore his 1970 pearl blue Pontiac Catalina, which still runs today. He was very creative and loved building and fixing things. He built a garage to house the car; a large screened in porch for he and his wife to enjoy together; a special play shelter that he designed so his cat could enjoy the outdoors without roaming free or being at risk from predators.
More than anything, Brian loved his family passionately. He always made sure that his wife and son were well cared for and that they had everything they needed. During his last year, he was very happy to be able to spend a lot of time with his son Daniel -- they enjoyed completing various household projects, traveling locally and to the seacoast, playing pinball, and dining out together.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his son: Daniel Letourneau and his significant other Kelly Maloney of Walpole, NH; sister: Jill Diehl of Westerly, RI; brothers: Joel Letourneau and his wife Kim of Surry, NH; and Kenneth Letourneau and his wife Takae of Camarillo, CA; dear friend: Jim Mackey of Swanzey, NH; favorite feline companion: Boopa; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Glenn Letourneau, and his nephew Michael Washor.
In keeping with Brian’s wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brian L. Letourneau’s name are requested to be made to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446 (www.MonadnockHumaneSociety.org).
