Alice spent most of her early childhood on a farm with her parents Ernest and Carrie Page. She grew up during the Great Depression and times were difficult for the Page family. Many of the hardships Alice and her family endured help develop her lifetime appreciation for hard work. Like many children of her generation, Alice worked a number of jobs to support her family rather than attend school. At 16, she began working full-time at Markem Corporation and remained an employee for the next 50 years.
Alice married Richard Francis Corkery in 1950. The couple moved into their family home and had their first child, Ernest in 1951, followed by Martha in 1953.
Alice was always a do-er. If you wanted something done everyone knew she would help take care of it. She and Richard enjoyed traveling and were blessed with many unique experiences. After Richard’s death in 1999, Alice continued her adventures with friends and family members. Regardless of where her travels lead, she was always happy to return to her home and friends in Keene.
Alice was also blessed with a green thumb and always knew the tricks for growing spectacular roses or the most beautiful flowers in the neighborhood.
She would keep herself busy creating one of a kind decorative birdhouses, knitting, or involved in some other crafty hobby. Most will fondly remember Alice for her beautiful smile and her delicious cookies.
Alice is survived by her two children, two grandsons, three great granddaughters and her dear friends Nate and Lynsey Levesque. She will be greatly missed by all.
Services for Alice will be held privately by the family.
