Rick Gurzick, a beloved Troy resident and lifelong Michigander, passed away on September 16, 2024.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia; his brothers, John and Jeff; and his loving wife, Nancy. He is survived by his children, Todd, Chad, Brett, and Shaelyn.
Rick will be remembered for his spirited conversation, easy laugh, and deep love of sports. For many years, Coach Gurzick dedicated his time to soccer fields, basketball courts, and baseball diamonds throughout Troy, where he taught and mentored young athletes. He was also an active supporter of the Troy Athens Athletics Boosters and numerous other youth and community causes.
