Laurence Patrick Rife III

Larry graduated from Denby High School and went on to serve in the Air Force. After his military service, Larry pursued a successful career as a sales engineer in the steel fabrication industry. Beyond his professional achievements, Larry was a gifted guitarist who played in several bands, including the Embers and Aladdin and the Genies.

Larry was also an avid tennis player, competing in leagues. His dedication to his community was evident through his volunteer work with the police and fire departments of Grosse Pointe Woods, a role that filled him with immense pride.

A true jack of all trades, Larry was a collector of many things and had a passion for adventure. He cherished going on mystery trips with his beloved wife, Nancy, and treasured the moments spent with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children Larry (Suzanne) Rife IV and Mindy Rife; his grandchildren Elizabeth (Kyle), Emma (Jacob), and Larry the 5th. He is also survived by his sister Sheri (Mark) Rasmussen. He is preceded in death by his brother Craig Rife.

Memorial contributions in Larry's honor are appreciated to St. Jude Children's hospital, ASPCA, or the Humane Society.
