William James Leary

William is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Charlotte Leary, brother John Leary of Brattleboro VT, sister Phyllis Fouwl of Keene NH, son Ira Leary and his wife Mandi of Fulshear TX, step-son Thomas Hill and his wife Debbie of Gallatin TN, Daughters Bridgette Pillsbury and her husband Daryl, Erin Clark both of Brattleboro, VT. He has eight grandchildren Harrison Leary, Everrett Leary, Amber Pillsbury, Ashley Simonds, Chelsy Pillsbury, Nick Pillsbury, Hillary Clark, Amelia Clark, and six great grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents Ruth and John Leary, sisters Barbara Blow, Mary Brown, Polly McAllister, Josephine Aiken, Lucy Taylor Smith and grandson Graham Leary.

William was born on July 17, 1939 in Hinsdale, NH to mother Ruth and John Leary. He graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1957 and soon after joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam war. After leaving the Marine Corps, William pursued a successful career in both construction and real estate, and had a passion for life and all things associated with his favorite hobby of fishing.
