Raymond L. Keith

Ray was born November 10, 1931, in Waco, Texas, to Paul and Lois Aubry (Sessums) Keith. Growing up, he was a stylish young man, always dressed impeccably-rings, watches, bracelets-always neat and clean. Ray kept these traits throughout his life. He was an accomplished clarinet and saxophone player, hence his love for Kenny G. One of his favorite past times was reading fiction, mostly spy novels. Ray served his country proudly in the United States Navy from January 25, 1951-January 12, 1955. He earned his Masters degree from Baylor University and had a brilliant mind for Physics and Mathematics.

Early on, it was apparent that Ray's focus was providing for his family. He enjoyed good food and a great glass of wine. He loved to socialize with family and friends and was a member of the "Over the Hill Gang" - a group of downhill mountain, long skiers, trained to ski downhill with machine guns attached, learning the art of marksmanship. Ray was always thankful for gifts received over the years and always wanted others to know how much he cherished these items. His home was always open to friends and family. Deep down, Ray was always a Texan. Though much to his dismay of some of his friends in Colorado, they would say "damn Texans are buying up the entire state!"

Ray is survived by his sons: Brian Keith (Patty), Brad Keith (Andrea) and Phil Keith (Kelly); grandsons: Ryan, Spencer, Bryce and Sam; and ex-wife's, Carol and Betty.

Ray will be missed. In spite of any flaws he may have had, he was loved by many.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018, between the hours of 3:00-5:00PM. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel of Katy Funeral Home at 5:00PM. Chaplain Daniel Schramm will officiate.
