Maria de la Gracia Zuniga

Maria de la Gracia Zuñiga, age 84, of Houston, Texas passed away on July 12, 2023. She was born in Mexico City on June 9, 1939 to Ernesto Zuñiga Fragoso and Mercedes Cabrera de Zuñiga. Grace, as she was known to friends and family in the US, was extremely adventurous and in many areas of her life, a high-risk taker. As a very independent mother of one, not much could stop her. She moved to Houston Texas in 1980 in hopes of a better life for her daughter. She is preceded in death by her eldest brother and sister, Ismael Zuñiga and Esperanza Zuñiga and is survived by her two brothers, Alberto and Daniel Zuñiga, her only daughter, Ana Jabive Serrano Artzberger, her two granddaughters, Charlotte Lucile Artzberger and Margaret Catherine Mercedes Artzberger, her son-in-law, Richard Bruce Artzberger, and her step-grandchild whom she loved to talk to, Garin Artzberger.

To honor the life of Maria, family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, located at 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail in Houston, Texas.
