Ms. Lidia "Mama" Consuelo Fuentes

Lidia Fuentes was a hardworking woman for 22 years until she retired. In 1981 Lidia arrived in Houston, Texas with her five children to find a better future for her family. Not long after arriving, she started her career working at Walmart where she made lifelong friends. During her retirement she found joy in planting herbs and vegetables, listening to audiobooks of the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lidia was preceded in passing by her beloved mother, Catalina Fuentes, and her brother, Salomon Fuentes. Lidia is survived by her daughters, Candida Fuentes and Martha Fuentes; and her sons, Juan Angel Herrera, Jose Herrera, Ovidio Fuentes, and Armando Herrera. Even though she is no longer in pain, she will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, located at 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77494, to be followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, and a catered reception from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
