July 31, 1967 – June 24, 2019
Jesse Boyce Cain, 51, passed away peacefully at his home in Brookshire, TX surrounded by loved ones after a courageous 20-year battle with cancer.
Jesse was born in Liberty, TX (to the late) Benjamin Harrison Cain and Mary Alice Cain. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Coleen Cain, devoted brother, Mabry Lee Cain III, beloved children Danielle Harris (Adam), Katelin Cain, Jesse Cain, Bonnie Kaiser and Alyssa Bailey. He was affectionately known as “Grumpy” to his three grandchildren Ayden, Adelaide and Charles.
After serving in the Navy, Jesse dedicated his career to law enforcement as a police officer at Jamaica Beach, TX and Royal Independent School District Police Department in Brookshire, TX.
Jesse was known for his “throwed off” sense of humor, caring spirit, sharing his love of Jesus Christ with others and making instant friendships with every person he met. He enjoyed many things such as working with livestock, scuba diving, photography, gaming as Teemo or ThunderPants, and was a huge Sci-Fi nerd. Most of all he loved sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and helping literally anyone, even complete strangers, when they were in need. He was the type of person that never missed an opportunity to pray with someone or to offer spiritual advice no matter where he went.
Memorial services will be held at Katy Funeral Home located at 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494 on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 3 PM. A gathering for refreshments and remembrance will immediately follow at his home in Brookshire, TX.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.katyfh.com for the Cain family.
