Houston, TX—Dolores (Merrita Levesque) Broadwell, 90, joined her beloved husband William (Bill) on June 19, 2024 after a short illness. Daughter of Lizzy Anne (Dufour) and Joseph F. Levesque, she was born in Grand Isle Maine where she spent her formative years. The eighth child of eleven children, six sisters and four brothers, Dolores is predeceased by: Simone Levesque, Mildred Raymond, Doris Dumond, Rejeanne Soucy all of Maine, Norma Morneault of Connecticut, and Jeanine Lajoie of Florida, Roger Levesque, Harold Levesque, and Roland Levesque all of Maine; and Lucien Levesque of Connecticut.
After moving to Connecticut, Dolores met and wed Bill, and together they raised four lovely children. A machine operator for most of her career, Dolores retired from Wasley Products just short of her 25th work anniversary. After retirement, Dolores and Bill relocated to their home in Eastham Massachusetts.
Dolores is survived by her two sons Marcus F. Broadwell of Santa Rosa, Philippines and Gary E. Broadwell of Hopewell Junction, NY; two daughters, Gail B. Watson of Forestville Connecticut and Karen B. Lausier of Houston Texas; two grand-children David Broadwell of Houston Texas and Michael Broadwell of Verona New Jersey; two and two great-grand-children Oliva and Gabriel Broadwell of Verona New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the future at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church, Houston Texas. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Terryville Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Shriner’s Children Hospital.
