On June 19, 2023, Chuck's joyful spirit departed from us at home surrounded by his family. His battle with cancer was valiantly fought, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering strength and resilience.
He spent his childhood years in Clovis, New Mexico. Chuck's an alumna of New Mexico State, where he earned a civil engineering degree, a testament to his intellect. His career in the Oil & Gas industry spanned over four decades, where he was a well-liked and highly respected professional. Chuck began his career in Morgan City, Louisiana. It was here that fate intervened and introduced him to his beloved wife, Rachel, who had his unwavering devotion for forty years.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel McAnespy Jones, his daughter, Robbi Jones Persac, and her husband, Stephen, his son, Christopher Michael Jones, and his wife, Alexis. Bernadine Marie Persac, Chuck's granddaughter, whom he adored and treasured. Furthermore, he is survived by his sister, Laurie Jones Cunningham, and her husband, Kevin; and his mother, Mary Anne Perkins Jones. Chuck was predeceased by his father, Clarence Messino Jones; his brother, Thomas Elliott Jones, and his grandmother, Mary Lucinda Perkins, whose wisdom and guidance he held close.
Chuck's passions ran deep and diverse, with music serving as a source of joy and inspiration. His music passions were intertwined with his love of outdoors. He was always the source of music while snow skiing, golfing, or visiting with friends on his patio.
Chuck's zest for life was infectious; Rachel knew she was going to marry him the first time she saw this fun-loving man dancing. His joyous spirit was a beacon of light for those in a moment of darkness, providing a light-hearted, encouraging word. A confidant and mentor to many, Chuck's positive impact on countless lives is immeasurable. His unwavering support and care served as a guiding light for those who sought his counsel, transforming moments of doubt into opportunities for growth and endurance. His life was a testament to the virtues he held dear - guided by his strong faith, Chuck strode forward energetically, embracing optimism and embodying a genuine connection to God's will. His nurturing care knew no bounds, and his children were blessed to have him as a guiding force in their lives.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us hold dear the memories of his vibrant spirit, his wit, and his genuine kindness. Chuck's legacy is one of love and optimism to those he held dear.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate the life of Charles Michael Jones.
