Clay and Jennifer,
only now I found out about Barabara’s death, with these strange times giving me quite some idle time to browse through old pictures, reminisce about times gone by, and spend some time searching the internet. I’m sorry that we didn’t manage to stay in touch, but that’s what time and distance probably do to you.
Nevertheless I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest sympathy. I will always remember Barbara’s (and James‘) hospitality and how much she made me feel at home when staying with you for a few weeks in 1987, and on my trip to Texas with my father in ‘98.

Clay and Jennifer,
God's Blessings on you and your families. Jim and Barbara were a great blessing to me and my family. We lived across the street for many years. My boys (Josh, Austin, and Nathan) were very fond of them.  I remember their great joy as grandchildren were born. I remember a night spent with Jennifer as she tried to sneak the van out of the driveway and ended up folding diapers with me.
Barbara is reunited with her best friend, Jim. I am sure they are celebrating being joined together again in Heaven with their friend and ours, Jesus Christ.

Clay, please condolences from my family to yours in the loss of your mom. She raised you well and to honor Our Lord and Savior. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I never knew this beautiful lady until this past year. I loved talking to her and watching her passion for coloring! My little granddaughters enjoyed her even more than I did. She will be missed. Rest in peace Ms. Barbara. We love you!

Barbara was a great friend to all of us at James Taylor High School. She loved teaching and tried to get the students to love it as well. She always used fun teaching techniques. Visiting with Barbara at lunch was a great treat. She was always in a good mood. She will be missed.

We had the pleasure to be her neighbor for many years.  She was so loving and energetic.  She loved her beautiful flowers and her dog Liesl.  Rest in peace Barbara

Barbara Gilcrease was one of my favorite teachers. She was patient and kind and this world was a better place because she was in it. My condolences to her family during this difficult time. 

God bless your families as you gather to celebrate Barbara's life.  She was a fun, encouraging friend.  It was a joy to know our daughter's high school science teacher was a believer in Christ. We enjoyed knowing Barbara and Jim through a very close knit Sunday school class.

Barbara was a friend to everyone who met her!!  When we began our Retired Teacher Organization in Katy, Barbara was there from the beginning, always helping .  She always asked what she could do to help and participated as an officer. I enjoyed her company so much!  I missed her when I moved away and asked about her often!  I am saddened by her passing but know that she is in the arms of Jesus!  Prays and peace to the family for the loss of your loving mother.

I remember Barbara from my day teaching at Taylor.  She was always a very gracious and warm teacher and welcoming to the new staff.  I ran into her years later at KARE meetings and enjoyed seeing her smiling face.

May our Lord, the God of all comfort be with each of you during this time.
