She was born in Chetopa Kansas on May 10th to Helen Marie Childress and Lawrence Monte Caldwell Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Lawrence.
She is survived by her daughters Teresa, Monique, Tina and Michelle and their father Richard; her grandchildren Myles and Paige; her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Angela was an exemplary mother and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and unending generosity that could be seen in her care for children, grandchildren, entire family, and countless others. She had an infectious smile that would light up any room.
She started her career at and oil and gas company where she worked for 13 years and decided she could do better for herself. She left the company and went back to school full-time and completed her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees at the University of Oklahoma. After that she taught grade school until she retired. She was a firm believer and supporter of education and always encouraged her children, grandchildren, and the children she taught that you can do anything through education.
She enjoyed traveling and found much pleasure in cooking/baking for family and friends. She was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went.
We invite you to donate to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s foundation (https://www.michaeljfox.org/) in her honor instead of sending flowers or cards.
