William P. Sullivan, of Raymore, Missouri died peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was born October 1st, 1934, in Omaha, NE, the son of William and Helen Sullivan. On September 17, 1955, he married Rosemarie O’Donnell, his wife of 56 years, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his five children, Michael Sullivan (Mary) of Overland Park, KS, Kathleen Kenyon (Greg ) of Raymore, MO, Timothy Sullivan (Connie) of Leawood, KS, William J. Sullivan (Lisa) of Kansas City, MO, The Reverend Patrick Sullivan of Shawnee, KS, his sister Margaret Livingston of Omaha, NE, his sister Mary Kay Klein (Larry) of Golden, CO, his brother Marc Sullivan (Janelle) of Kansas City, MO, his sister Theresa Wieczorek (Pat) of Omaha, NE, his sister-in-law Mary Margaret O’Hanlon (Terry) of Omaha, NE, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He will also be missed by his dear and loving friend Irene Downs. In addition to his parents and Rosemarie’s parents, John and Marie O’Donnell he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Sullivan and brother-in-law Thomas F. Livingston.
Bill and Rosemarie were two of the founding members of St. John Francis Regis parish where they took great joy in practicing their faith. Bill was in the automotive/finance business, where he really enjoyed being around people and making them smile with his humor. He was a man of great integrity and honesty; these two attributes were the foundation on which he built his successful career.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 12th, 10:30 a.m., at St. John Francis Regis Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138, with burial following in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102. The family offers particular thanks to the Sisters Servants of Mary for their loving care during Bill’s final days.
