William Oren Lanning, 80, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away March 16, 2011. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mr. Lanning was born August 8, 1930 in Anderson, Missouri, son of John Oren and Anna Grace (Cloyd) Lanning. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He worked as a Sales Representative. Mr. Lanning was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his son Robert Lanning, extended family members and friends.
