He was born in Urich on October 22, 1927 to Leslie A and Leona (Caldwell) Gragg.
Bill, a longtime resident of the Kansas City area, enjoyed a career as a carpenter and construction supervisor, including many years with the Ong Construction Company.
In 2015, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Maxine (Beshears) Gragg. Bill was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Gragg (Janene) of Jefferson City and Kevin Gragg (Therese) of Greystones, Ireland. He leaves three grandsons, Eric Gragg of Jefferson City, Neal Gragg (Meighan) of Overland Park, KS, and Eamon Gragg of Washington, D.C. and one granddaughter, Courtney Gragg of Jefferson City. Bill has one great-granddaughter in Overland Park.
Memorials may be made in Bill’s honor to your local Habitat for Humanity, food bank or charity of your choice.
A private interment will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City. Private family services will be held at a later date.
