Wayne was born in Milwaukee, WI to Livingston Martin and Mary (Chiasky) Worth on February 3, 1931. He graduated from High School in Waukesha, WI.
Wayne grew up and worked on the family dairy farm. He would later go to work with his father, who was a Real Estate Broker, at Worthmour Realty. Wayne’s first major job beginning his long career in sales was with Koehler and Koehler Beauty Products. As it turned out, Wayne was a talented salesman and enjoyed visiting with people.
He met Noreen Neal in junior high school. They were married 70 years on November 3, 2021.
In 1968, Wayne and his family moved to Gladstone, MO after being offered a job as a Regional Salesman for Evinrude Motors. He later went on to work for Long Farm Equipment Manufacturing as a sales representative. Wayne finally retired from his position in Regional Sales with Beneficial Lighting Inc.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. He owned 2 lakefront properties throughout his life. One was a rustic log cabin on Post Lake in Wisconsin where he and his young family would spend the summers. After leaving Wisconsin, and selling the Post Lake cabin, Wayne had a house built on Lake Viking in Gallatin, Missouri where he and Noreen would spend their leisure time. Wayne truly enjoyed the outdoors and lake life.
Wayne is preceded in death by both of his parents. He leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years, Noreen Worth; children, Gary (Patricia) Worth, Terri (Stephen) Henke, Sheryl (Don) Dobbins, and Robin (Don) Knudson; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Memorial Donations may be given to Kansas City Hospice, a nonprofit organization.
The family of Wayne Livingston Worth wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Anthology Senior Living facility nurses and staff, Ascend Hospice, Mike and Lynn O’Malley, Lena Corsale and the many others who brought joy and comfort in his life.
