Wanda Joe Pruetting

Wanda was born to Arthur and Marie Cantrell in Marshfield, Missouri on August 16, 1936. Wanda married John Pruetting at St. Augustine’s Church on June 9, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri.

She is survived by three children Nora, John Jr, and Mike (Colleen); seven grandchildren Natalie (Dennis) Peirce, Madison (Tomah) Mackie, Jake Pruetting, Jeff and Ethan Munroe, Zac and Alex Delich; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister Shirley Ryan. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and nine siblings.

Wanda was a wonderful cook with treasured recipes that her whole family enjoyed. Wanda created a loving open environment where her kids and grandkids loved weekend pool time and Sunday dinners.

Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mark Catholic Church, 3736 South Lee's Summit Road, Independence, Missouri 64055 on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery following the mass, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
