Thomas George Armstrong

Tom was born March 27, 1931, in London, England to Thomas and Dorothy Armstrong. Tom was the eldest of five children. After graduating high school, he joined the Royal Airforce for 2 years. Following his service, he moved to the United States in the 1950's. Tom had two daughters Marcy Sanchez and Kristine Armstrong. Tom was a proud member of Village Church for many years. He served as a Stephen Minister for 2 years, as he enjoyed helping others through difficult times. Tom then met Javonne through their church singles group and were married in September 1980. Tom and Javonne and his 2 stepchildren Kelly and Chris then settled in Olathe, Kansas. Javonne was the love of his life. They loved to travel and go antique shopping, and just being with each other. They spent 39 wonderful years together before her passing on December 2019.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Dorothy Armstrong; his sister, Peggy Armstrong; his brother, George Armstrong; and his wife of 39 years, Javonne.

He is survived by his daughters, Marcy Sanchez and Kristine Armstrong; his sister, Frances Hart; his brother, Fred Armstrong; his stepdaughter, Kelly Conn; his stepson, Chris Conn; his stepdaughter-in-law, Wendy; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Andrew, Belisia, Natalie, Carly, Victoria, and Chase.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, at 10:00AM, with a reception following services at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas, 66208.
