Tara Brianne Simer was born December 27th, 2004, in Independence, Missouri to Brian and Wendy Simer. Tara was full of life, energy, and a propensity to tell it like it was. She loved volleyball, shopping, especially at TJ Max, makeup artistry, Christmas, pickles, and a good sub sandwich. In her short journey in this world, she found the love of her life, Fiancé, Tommy Hopson. They were excited to become new parents and start their future together with their son A.S.H.
She was diagnosed with Epilepsy, five years ago, in 2019. Tara battled against seizures which changed the course of her young life. This had many effects on her that many were unaware of. However, this did not stop her from living her life to the fullest. Through the generous help of the Purple Peace Foundation, we were given the support and guidance to help Tara fight this cruel and invisible beast called Epilepsy. The Purple Peace Foundation has played a pivotal role with increasing the confidence of not only Tara but her family as well. Even though Tara was not a fan at first, she became more involved with the organization up until her journey in this life ended.
She is survived by her loving parents, Brian and Wendy Simer; her sisters, Tia Simer (Fiancé Deven Roszell) and Talynn Tann (Husband Andrew Tann); her brother, Trenten Simer, Grandfather (PaPa), Ronald Crook; Grandfather, Jerry Simer; Her Fiancé, Tommy Hopson; future in-laws, Cantis and Heather Williams, and siblings.
Tara is preceded in death by Grandmother (NaNa), Peggy Jean Crook; Grandmother, Jane Simer; and Great Grandmother, Doris Helen Crook.
