Shawn Patrick Regan

A visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, September 9th, with a celebration of life at 10:30 AM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Burial will follow services in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the American Red Cross Emergency Services following a disaster or Great Plains SPCA.

Shawn was born February 22, 1958 in Kansas City. As an infant, Shawn was adopted by Thomas Joseph and Bethane (Clayton) Regan. He was a 1976 graduate of Winnetonka High School. Shawn served in the Missouri National Guard. Shawn retired from the Claycomo Ford Assembly Plant, following 32 years of service. Afterwards, he worked at NAPA for 12 years, then retired 2 months ago. Shawn enjoyed dancing, traveling to beach resorts,and Branson, and hanging out in his mancave, cheering on the Kansas City Chief’s.

In 2002 Shawn married Deborah "Debbie" Elliott, who he was very devoted to. Additional survivors include a son, Matthew Scott Regan; a sister, Lisa Regan Waterbury (Steve Elliott); a grandson, Gavin Regan Russell; step-children include Chris Elliott, and Charleen Diaz, step-granddaughter Alexandra Diaz; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Shawn was preceded in death by a brother, James Brian Regan; and a step-granddaughter, Adrianna Diaz-Zimmerman.
