Sharon Rose Moore

Sharon attended Center High School. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and retired as a Line Technician from Honeywell. At 18, she married John Dorsey Moore, Jr. and they were married for 39 years until his death.

Bowling was a favorite hobby of Sharon's. She loved her grandchildren, her dogs, the KC Royals and Chiefs and doing things for other people.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, John "Sonny"; a son, Johnnie; her parents, Larry Ball and Beatrice Calcara; and a brother, Ronnie Ball. She is survived by her children: Meldeana Wood, Regina (John) Williams, Johnna (Stan) Redford and Shannon Moore; grandchildren: Jeremy (Tiffany) Wood, Anthony (Autumn) Williams, Mitch (Nena) Williams, Kelsey Williams, Jackson (Gracie) Redford, Bo Redford, Cole Redford; great-grandchildren: Michael, Colt, Kash, Max, Dakota, Dallas and Riley.

A Visitation for Sharon will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm and a Committal Service will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
