Sandra Gower DeLuna

Sandra was a successful businesswoman. She owned and operated Chouteau Personnel before retiring to be a stay-at-home mom. She later reentered the business world as a real estate broker. Her favorite roles and titles, however, were those of “Mom”, “Grandma”, “Aunt Sandy”, sister, and friend. She's most remembered in her family for her loyalty to those she loved, her welcoming hostess abilities, and her extraordinary gift of making all her spaces beautiful with her talents for gardening and decorating. All of our homes have Sandy's touch.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorathea Gower; spouse, Carl DeLuna; and son, Richard (Rick) DeLuna.

Survivors include daughter, Carla DeLuna Allen; granddaughters Sarina DeLuna Haggerty (Danny), Sarah Allen, and Maggie Allen; great-grandchildren Madelyn, Carl, William, and Vivienne Haggerty; sisters Mary Lefholz Egan (Hal) and Kathy Gower Norris; life-long friend, Kathleen Leach; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family extends our deepest gratitude to the staff of Kansas City Hospice House for their excellent care and support.

Visitation will be Friday, August 26, from 4:30-7:30 pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 27, at 10:30am at McGilley State Line Chapel, immediately followed by the committal service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64138.
