Ruth Ann Gault-Allen, age 64, of Kansas City, MO, peacefully passed on December 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. Funeral at 2PM on Monday, Dec. 11, at Floral Hills, with visitation at 1PM. Burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity. Ruth was born in Carthage, MO, on Nov. 15, 1953, to Thomas D. & Bettye Jo (Hoover) Gault and resided in Lamar, MO, until the family moved to Kansas City in 1956. She graduated from S.M. South H.S., Overland Park, KS, in 1971. Her career started at a young age working in all facets of the family businesses until her father retired in 1991, selling Joe’s Barn and Joe’s Bar B Q restaurants. She continued her career at Heartland Hem/Onc until retiring in 2015. Ruth is remembered for her incredible sense of humor, stunning creativity, love of animals, music, dancing, repurposing everything, and her abilities as an accomplished “do-it-yourselfer.” Ruth was endearingly known by her many friends as a free spirit and flower child of the 60’s (and beyond). One thing she always wanted everyone to know is that she loved her children unconditionally and would do anything for them. Ruth is survived by her mother Bettye Gault; children Megan Eubanks & Nathan Allen; grandchildren Thomas, Nicholas, Christopher, Jolene, and Robert, Jr. Eubanks, Nathan and Noah Allen; as well as her sisters Jo Cox and Kelly (Brian) King, and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Tom Gault and her brother Gordon Gault. Fond memories and condolences may be faxed to (816) 353-4623 or left at www.floralhillsfuneralhome.com. Arr.: Newcomer's Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO 64133, (816) 353-1218.
