Robert Joseph Jones Sr.

Robert was born on September 29, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph Gilbert Jones and Marjorie Swinney. He was an only child. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in Mission, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

Robert retired in 1996 from Travelers Insurance Company in Kansas City, Missouri as an adjuster.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Robert Joseph Jones, Jr. Robert is survived by his wife, Neita Jones, his children: Debra Lynn Jones, Lance D. Jones Teresa Ann Deforest and Robert Chesley Manley. Robert has eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
