Robert Wayne Courier was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother and all around caring human whose journey here on earth ended December 8, 2021, at his home in Greenwood, MO, at the age of 57.
Robert was born on January 14, 1964 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Ruskin High School class of 1982, and Central Missouri State University with a BA in Computer Science in 1988.
Robert was employed by Tnemec Company where he was the vice president of IT. He worked for Tnemec Co. in a variety of ways for 27 years and retired in 2019.
Robert proudly served in the United State Marine Corp from 1982-1988.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, anything outdoors but his passion was coaching wrestling. He loved the Royals and the Chiefs.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 32 years, Miki Courier; his beautiful children, Ryan Courier and Spencer Courier; and his precious grandson Braelyn Allen, who shares his Papa’s sense of humor and zeal for life; his caring mother, Loretta Doss-Fitzgerald ; his loving cousins Jaynie Gercone (Ernie Reyes) and Michael Kastle (Jamie). Robert is also survived by his brothers, Wesley Courier, John “Bud” Doss (Johne), and Scott Doss (Betty); sisters, Cyndy Olcott , Debbie Hamilton (Jim), Kathleen Mallory, Tammy Brown, and Sherry Miller; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins; and countless friends who were touched by his endless love and selfless compassion.
He was preceded in death by his loving stepdad who raised him, Charles Doss; his father, Gerald “Wes” Courier; brothers, Barry Doss and Charles “Chuck” Courier; stepfather, Donald Fitzgerald; and all his grandparents.

Visitation for Robert will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO with Interment to follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery, 25203 E US Hwy 50, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.
