Bobby, as he preferred to be called, grew up in the Raytown area with his sisters Louise, Barbara and brother Walter (Sonny). Barbara is the last surviving member of his family. Bobby spent time serving the country in both the Army and Navy during the Korean War. Upon returning to civilian life he took a position with Delco Remy in Olathe as an engineer/supervisor until his retirement. Bobby was married to Carole Ann O’Connor, and they have four surviving children, Kelly Bride (Kirk), Kevin Brown, Lori Ohmes, and Dusty Brown (Erin); Grandchildren, Brendan Bride, Julie Bride, Madigan Brown, Anna Ohmes, Caroline Ohmes, Bridget Brown Knight, Kyle Brown, and Carole Ann Brown; and six great grandchildren currently, and growing.
Bobby enjoyed many great lifetime friendships, enjoyed family time and getting together for dinners or family picnics. He was a generous man by nature and kind and giving of his time and talents to those around him. Bobby will be missed greatly by all that knew him and his greatest tribute would be to continue his legacy of kindness to others.
