Bob had a strong Christian work ethic that extended after-hours most days from the TWA overhaul base in Kansas City. He often could be found helping his children, grandchildren and other relatives with various projects. He took his mother and father-in law into his home when they achieved golden age, with his mother-in-law, Lucille West, who had 15 children passing away at the age of 102.
With little spare time on his hands during working days, Bob enjoyed listening to and attending Southern Gospel Music events, traveling and camping with family members. He spent retirement winter months for many years in the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas, where he and his spouse of 66 years, Juanita Bailey, became wonderful friends with many other winter Texans.
Bob was a member of Sheffield Family Life Center, with his faith an important part of his life. Every prayer he concluded with thanking the Lord for salvation full and free, and desired above all that his family and loved ones know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life.
He was preceded in death by a brother Jim Bailey. He is survived, by his wife Juanita, Gladstone, three children: Bob Bailey Jr. (Tammy), Kansas City, Cheri Wright, Gladstone, and Carolyn Sexton (Kim), Independence; a niece Tonia Reeves (Scott), Kansas City; 10 grandchildren: Tony Sexton, Tina Eaken, Nicole Calton, Marissa Bailey, Robby Bailey, Allen Wright, Jason Wright, Brandon Wright, Zach Graves & Ashtin Reeves. 6 great-grandchildren: Kameron Eaken, Kali Eaken, Christian Calton, Jacob Wright, Addyson Bailey & Sophia Bailey, and a sister, Imogene Long, Bentonville, Arkansas.
