Rita Hansen

Rita Hansen, 89 passed away on September 5, 2017 in Melbourne, FL. Rita was born in Kansas City, MO. The Memorial Mass will be 9:30 am Wednesday, October 11 at Redemptorist Fathers Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO.

Rita was the daughter of Sara and Salvador Chagoyan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Chagoyan and husbands Oswald Hansen and Lester Gregory. She is survived by her brother, Marcel Chagoyan; two sons, Mark Gregory and Matthew Gregory; two daughters, Lori Chagollan and Sara Gregory; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Rita spent most of her life living in Kansas City and Buffalo, NY. Later she lived in Canada, with homes in Duncan, Victoria Island and Watson Lake, Yukon, Canada. Her final years were spent living in Oswego, NY, Barre, VT and Melbourne, FL.

Rita was the president of the Women’s Democratic Club in Buffalo, NY. Rita managed an apartment complex in Kansas City. She was an avid crossword puzzle hobbyist. Rita had a very engaging personality and enjoyed dining at fine restaurants. She enjoyed entertaining family and relatives in KC at fabulous home parties. Rita was a very faithful member of her church, a church society member and participated in church activities.
