Reva Weaver, 84, Blue Springs, Mo. passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 16, 2016. Reva, the only daughter of Alta & Roy Worthington, was born May 10, 1931 in Wheatland, Mo. After graduating from Weaubleau High School, she married the love of her life, Jack Weaver and relocated to Kansas City. They had one daughter, Debbi, and were happily married 35 years before his untimely death in 1983. She started her working career in retail at Macy's Department Store at the Landing Shopping Center. She was promoted to Personnel Director and opened the store at Independence Center. She retired from Macy's in 1997. Reva was full of life and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Debbi Lawrence, granddaughter, Cari Eikel and great granddaughter, Sydney Eikel. Her extended family includes Jerry Alumbaugh, his son, Ryan and grandchildren, Courtney and Chaning. Services will be held at Floral Hills Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2016... visitation at 1:00 pm and Reva's Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions in her name to either the American Heart Association or Great Plains SPCA (Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
